In may towns in Bulgaria the rules for the traffic are controlled with cameras!!!
In the Republic of Bulgaria there exist the folowing limits concernig the velocity:
- Settlments - 50 km/h
- Out of settlments - 90 km/h
- Highways - 130 km/h

Most frequent violations for which drivers are fined are:
Exceeded speed limit
Driving without seatbelts
Driving after drinking of alcohol
Driving without necessary documents (driving license, card of the vehicle, card for technical examination), Third party motor insurance, vignette.
As of 2008 fines have been drastically increased.

Roads
Most of the roads in Bulgaria are in good condition, which corresponds to the European requirements, but roads full of holes and representing danger both for any car and for people are not less. When you drive on the republican network, be careful, because there are signs for direction missing in many places.

Parking
Be careful when you park - do it only in the place intended for this purpose, because otherwise, this will cost you money and headache. Some parking lots have individual tariff for stay.

Gas stations
The bigger gas stations in Bulgaria are OMV, Shell, Petrol and LUK Oil.

166 - Police
165 - Traffic police - Car accidents
112 - National number for emergency calls

Road accidents
Upon an accident on the road with damages /crash, falling into a hole, deliberate actions of third persons etc./, please, immediately inform Traffic police and the Lessor without moving the vehicle.
